Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried Mexican oregano
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground coriander (optional)
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Mix: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or spice jar. Shake well to combine evenly.
  2. Store: Keep sealed in a spice jar or airtight container. Best used within 3–4 months for maximum flavor.
  3. Use: Start with 1 to 1½ tbsp per pound of meat or veggies. Add during the sear or sauté phase for best bloom.
